SBP is urging people to secure their place at an event this month which set to see Shrewsbury Town FC officials present on how businesses can replicate their ‘top teams’ in the workplace, following its recent promotion to League One last season.
Shropshire Business Partnership is hosting a ‘People & Performance’ event on Friday 18th September at Shrewsbury Town Football Club’s Greenhous Meadow, with Club Manager, Micky Mellon and Chief Executive, Matt Williams sharing some top tips and techniques to create a productive ‘winning team’.
In addition, the event is also set to welcome guests from Thomas International, a global provider of objective management systems, who will look at how high employee productivity and engagement can be achieved, as well as how effective leadership can be implemented using pre-employment testing, such as 360 Feedback, Emotional Intelligence and Personal Profile Analysis.
“We’re thrilled to be welcoming guest speakers Micky Mellon, Matt Williams and Julia Jones from Thomas International on Friday 18th, who are set to give really informative but up-beat presentations,” Paul Bennett, Chair of Shropshire Business Partnership, explained. “The event kicks off at 7:30am with networking opportunities before breakfast is served at 8am, and is scheduled to finish at 10am.”
Thomas International will also provide a complimentary Personal Profile Analysis to guests wishing to understand more about their personal and professional personality types, which also helps to identify how they are likely to handle different situations and types of people.
“The event is focused around the power of people and how employers can really get the most from their team to help improve productivity and performance within their own businesses. Tickets cost £20 per person, but spaces are naturally limited, so I’d encourage anyone interested in attending to visit www.shropshirebusiness.org and book their place online.” Paul concluded.
